Caring Circle is a project dedicated to raising awareness about the welfare of first-time working Indonesian maids in Singapore. This unheard group of domestic workers are often abused and discriminated against, financially dependent on their employers, and are poorly educated.
The aim of this pledgepage is to address the main causes leading up to their current living conditions and in a bigger perspective improve their lives as maids in Singapore through garnering support from the public in the long run.
I hope to do this by providing the public with information and real life abuse cases that are happening in Singapore today, and suggesting improvements that can be made to the current regulations, as well as informing people on how they can and should play a part in our movement to improve the situation of the discrimination and abuse of the Indonesian maids in Singapore.
